Annual Sports Meet – 2024
The annual sports meet of CPS was held from 27th March to 10th April 2024. Students participated in various indoor and outdoor games like Cricket, Football, Kabaddi, Badminton, Carrom, Chess, Hand Wrestling, Tug of War, Musical Chair etc.
Celebration of National Pharmacy Education Day
CPS celebrated the “National Pharmacy Education Day” on 6th March 2024 to honor the role of Professor Mahadeva Lal Schroff in establishing pharmacy education in India. The day also commemorates Schroff’s 121st birth anniversary. Various activities such as quiz, essay and debate competition were arranged for the students.
Blood Donation Camp
CPS organized a blood donation camp on 23rd February 2024 in association with the Odisha Blood Center, MKCG Medical College and Hospital. The college management, staff and students took active participation in the event. As many as 100 units of blood was collected from the volunteers.
Observation of 75th Republic Day
CPS observed the 75th Republic Day in the college premises on 26th January 2024. The day is a celebration of the Constitution, and building India as a republic instead of a colony or dominion of any nation. The college management, staff & the students read the preamble of the Indian constituent under the tricolor.
Observation of National Voters’ Day
In order to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as “National Voters’ Day”. CPS celebrated The National Voters’ Day to not only identify eligible voters and inspire people to vote, but also to assure them about the safety and integrity of the electoral process.
Campus Interview by Macleods Pharmaceutical
A pool campus drive was organized by CPS for various positions in Macleods Pharmaceutical Ltd., one of the leading MNCs in the Pharmaceutical sector, on 14th January 2024. As many as 21 students from various disciplines were selected and given offer letters to join this reputed Pharmaceutical Industry.
CPS Celebrates NPW-2023
The 62nd National Pharmacy Week-2023 was celebrated in the campus from 19th to 25th Nov. 2023. The events, such as, Pharmacy Awareness Rally, Poster Presentation competition, Elocution competition, Rongoli competition, Eye Check-up camp etc were the main highlights of the celebration. The inaugural function was observed with many cultural programs and prize distribution ceremony. Dr. Suchitra Dash, Superintendent, MKCG, Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Santosh Kumar Padhy, ADPHO, Ganjam were among the invited dignitaries to bless the occasion along with the college management staff.
CPS organizes Free Eye Check-up Camp
A free eye check-up camp was organized at Mohuda Village by CPS in association with ECOS Eye Hospital, Berhampur on 6th Nov 2023. A six member team headed by Dr. Ashok Kumar Sahoo conducted this eye check-up with active support from the staff and students of CPS. As many as 150 residents of Mohuda village availed the opportunity.
Celebration of 77th Independence Day
The 77th Independence Day was celebrated in the college campus with hoisting the national flag and conducting other cultural activities. The plantation program carried out by the College management and the felicitation of the GPAT-2023 qualifiers with certificates and trophies were the highlights of the day.
Celebration of 162nd Birth Anniversary of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray
Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray (02.08.1861 – 16.06.1944) regarded as the “Father of Indian Chemistry” was an Indian chemist, educationist, historian, industrialist and philanthropist. The Royal Society of Chemistry honoured his life and work with the first ever “Chemical Landmark Plaque” outside Europe. The 162nd Birth Anniversary of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray, the saint scientist was celebrated at the A.P.C. Ray Memorial Cancer Chemotherapeutic Research Unit at C.P.S, Berhampur on 02.08.2023.
T. Shivdas Memorial Best Student Award-2022
The “T. Shivdas Memorial Best Student Award” was instituted by a group of alumni of CPS in 2019, in the loving memory of our alumnus Mr. T. Shivdas after his untimely demise. For the year 2022, Mr. Tushar Ranjan Dash was felicitated with this award on 23rd June 2023 for his excellent academic performance in B.Pharm course.
Campus Interview by Hetero Labs
An off-campus interview by Hetero Labs was arranged for the B.Pharm and M.Pharm students on 18th May. As many as 22 students were selected.
Campus Interview by Promea Therapeutics
An online campus interview was arranged for the students for various positions in Promea Therapeutics on 3rd May 2023. As many as 17 students were selected by the company.
Campus Interview by Lupin
A pooled campus drive was arranged for the students for various positions in Lupin Ltd., one of the leading MNCs in Pharma sector on 19th April 2023. As many as 13 students were selected for the GOA unit of Lupin Ltd.
